Hopefully both in a deal!

Either will work for me.

It'll probably be Ebs. Lou has a couple deals going and needs some more cap space to secure Landy, Palms & Parise. Along with our outstanding UFA's & RFA's.

Landy scares me on his asking price and term.

I'd prefer to lose eberle unless there's a side deal.to take uncle Leo, Bailey plays in all situations

I think his price will be $8m tops in this flat cap world we're in. Most we can give him, I believe, is 7 years. So yeah, I can see the concern. Particularly if it becomes a Bob-type situation.

Ebs was the consensus favorite to go in the previous thread.

Would love Landy on a 3 or 4 year del but 7 is scary.

It is but he wants term. And money, of course. I believe I heard that Colorado offered 5 years at $7m and obviously was rejected. there were a few offers that got rejected and I'm pretty sure not one of them was for 7 or 8 years. Hopefully we get him, but the pessimist in me says St. Louis will. What the hell do I know though, I wanted Bob.

Big deal, Lou's son will send him to some poverty franchise with a 2nd rd pick 5 years from now

Indeed Cpt. 5 years 7 mil does not seem to be an insulting offer though. 7 years is the magic number for a lot of these players.

Well that's pretty much what he turned down from the only team he's ever played for so I doubt he'd change his mind

I agree chief. I just cannot get on the Avs for that offer. If another team can make 7 years working including the Isles God Bless.

What if I walked up to you and said hey man, would you like 35 million or 49 million dollars?

What would your answer be?

35 million.

All kidding aside I would be willing to take less if the less was a better situation in terms of winning. If you can get term and winning that is better.

Well yeah, but you’re notoriously frugal and don’t curse. Therefore your judgement in such matters can’t be trusted.

Now if you’d just say the word “(frank)”, then maybe Landeskog and I could begin seeing things differently.

My answer would be to look you up and down and ask what gawdawful acts were required for each.
